How we check

Fortuna lists offers that stores publish themselves. Here is exactly what we do, and what we don’t claim.

1. We read the offer on the store’s own site

Every offer is read on the store’s own website: a banner, a sale page, a terms page. We record the page and the date, and each offer shows “Read at source” with that date. We don’t take codes from other coupon sites.

2. Some offers we test at checkout

Where we have tried a code in the store’s checkout, the offer also shows “Tested at checkout” with that date. We don’t say it for offers we haven’t tried.

3. We take offers down when they go stale

An offer stays up only while it is inside its re-check window: codes 7 days, sales 14 days, free shipping 14 days from the last time we read or tested it. After that it is hidden, not shown with an old date. An offer with a stated end date is removed after that date.

4. Codes and how we earn

For most stores we are paid only when you go to the store through our link, so the code sits behind “Get code”: one click shows it here and opens the store in a new tab, while this page stays open with the code. A few partner stores credit sales to our own code; for those the code is shown openly and the button copies it.

What the homepage numbers count

Every number is counted from our own records as of Oct 10, 2026. Nothing is estimated, and there are no usage counters or success rates.
